As above. I notice with the short code, while we can display CPT and categories, we’re limited to display 1 category only. Thus, let’s say I want to built a sortable table similar to below but with the ability for readers to sort the different taxonomies, is it do-able? 🙂
Ah, had a thought about it. Would you consider the ability to display custom taxonomies as well? With custom taxonomies, a site that writes on Apple products can create a custom taxonomy to extend posts which are on iPhone app reviews. And as there are many genres of apps including games, productivity and social media, among others, readers would prefer the tables to be sorted, no?
Also, could you enable reviews based on time-period. Let’s say between 1st Jan 2014 till 31st Dec 2014 for one ranking table and so on 🙂
Plus, would you also consider adding the capability to display the sub-taxonomies/sub-categories. If we’re reviewing iPhone/iPad apps, the ability to show sub-categories would help as the readers will be able to sort those posts/reviews according to their needs. Otherwise, I’ll have to build a custom table using… WP Toolset’s Views
p/s: I’ve submitted a ticket but have yet to hear a reply 🙂
I apologize for being late on this, I’ve been crazy busy with moving to the new site.
You can try adding more than one category comma separated, example: cat=”1,54,35″ and see if this works.
There will be a new add-on based on DataTables, which will allow sorting in a better way. I will consider what you’ve suggested here.
