The WP Reviews plugin depends on WordPress default commenting system. You will need to make sure that WordPress comments are enabled on your reviews pages.

Of course comments are on – i read your instructions.

If comments are open, then we should see the comment form. I can’t see it! All what I see is the Gravity form you have on that page. Please double check.

Hi sorry- you are right that page template didn’t have it – I quickly created that one and didnt check.
But i am still having the issue as no stars appear – see this page with comments.
Do i need 188.8.131.52.7 – (i cant install it as it says there is already that folder in existence? – so maybe i need my host to upload it for me?)
I just want customer reviews on these pages and I want them to review overall star plus 5 fields

If I dont give it an author rating only the comment box appears

It says user must login to comment, this way won’t show the user the comment form, you need to set this to with WordPress discussion to “Anyone can comment”.
It’s always good to update the plugin to the latest version. (you need to deactivate and delete the old plugin first, then install the new one).
P.S. Rating and range sliders do not show for logged author of the review, so always check when you are logged out (you can open your review in a different browser too).
Let me know when you are done with these changes so I can see if it works or not.

That is correct, you have two ways:
1) give it a rating (author rating).
2) tick the “Use user rating as rich snippets source, this will override the default plugin settings.” check box that is in the Review Settings post meta main tab (that’s a user only enabled review).
I hope this helps.

I have not updated from 184.108.40.206 to 220.127.116.11.7 as i dont have access to folders

Well, you must update the plugin first, then we see what happen next.

I have made the changes and uploaded the new version. The form is now appearsing but users cannot rate
September 9, 2013 at 6:57 am #2567
Are you using a plugin for the Security Code?
Also, I think the comment form is filtered (the URL field is not showing), so this could override the default commenting code and cause the issue.

i have deactivated Captcha plugins but still cant see rating, i get this message when I try to submit
Notice: please choose a rating before you submit your reviews!

There must be a conflict with the Theme or one of your plugins. You will need to switch to one of the default Themes to see if the user rating shows or not, if it shows then the issue is cause by the Theme, if not then deactivate all plugins and activate them one by one till you find the one that is conflicting.
P.S. You are getting this message because you have this option checked “Users must choose a rating?” in the plugin settings.
