    Hi Hesham,

    I’ve just started playing with this locally, and after playing around a bit I realised that the user review bits (the stars and the sliders) do not appear in the user comments section using my current theme. What’s the best way to fix this? I’m happy to try myself, I just need a kick in the right direction! 🙂

    I’m using the Aggregate theme from Elegant Themes.

    Thanks!

    Matt.

    I can’t help while you are on local hosting, I need to see how the review looks like at least on one of your reviews.

    Can you give me a clue as to what to look for? (ie. should I look at the source of the page for something in particular?)

    Ok – I have solved this one myself. So if anyone else is having this problem, here’s how I fixed it:

    1) I checked the “Disable loading jQuery?” checkbox on the Review -> Settings page. I was looking at some errors in the javascript console and I noticed some JQuery issues. After doing this, the “stars” were showing in the comments area, however, the slider was still not working.

    2) After checking the javascript console again, I noted a particular error relating to using “$” instead of “jQuery”… This error was pointing to some javascript which I found in the wp-reviews/inc/user-rating/user-rating-functions.php file. At line 211 I changed:

    $(function() {

    to

    jQuery(function($){

    … after I made this second change, the slider was visible and working correctly.

    I’m not sure if these changes were the best way of doing it, but I’m not a javascript expert and it worked, so I’m happy.

    Hesham, if you have any better ways to fix this, please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Matt.

    Glad you’ve solved this, I am not sure why you had this issue, but looks like your theme was overriding the rating jQuery function.

    I may switch to this way in a coming update.

    Thanks for sharing.
