Can someone please provide me with a list of the steps, including any required additional plugins I should activate. I’ve read the documentation and applied all recommended settings and still my user reviews are not active. The little round icon with the plus sign on my editor review appears to be ‘hot’ but it doesn’t go anywhere. I want users that read my editor review to be able to add their own user review from that area.

Can you please provide a link to one of your reviews where I can see the issue?

No need to apologize!
The user reviews functionality depends on WordPress commenting system. I see you are having a custom post type for “Food”, you will need to allow comments on Food pages.
Also, we recommend you use the WP Rich Snippets plugin as it’s more advanced and we are focusing on its development.

Hi Hesham, I finally got someone to help me with enabling comments for custom post type pages. So now I can see the comment form, but I can’t figure out why the user reviews aren’t showing up in the comments. I’ve spent hours reading through the forum here. Disabling jquery didn’t solve the problem.
When I view the pages source, I do notice all sorts of jquery code for the user reviews.
So do you have any other ideas on why the user reviews aren’t showing up?

BTW I know you recommended I use rich snippets plugin instead. However I can’t get that to display my reviews the way I want. So I would rather just figure out this last step in getting the user reviews to show up correctly for wp reviews plugin.

Dose the WP Rich Snippets plugin work? I mean do you see the user start rating?

I apologize for being late on this.
Please, make sure user reviews is enabled and it’s allowed for site visitors. This can be done within the plugin settings, under the Rating tab.
Also, try to stop loading jQuery, this can be done by going to the plugin settings, under the Technical tab.
Let me know if this works!
