    Hi,
It says on your website and in response to another support question that the customer testimonials plugin will result in the stars showing in serps for the home page. I wanted to check this is correct. If I create a page called testimonials to display user feedback I don’t expect this new page will ever be optimised like the home page is. I would want those stars to show in serps for main home page.

Reason for asking is that I see you have a testimonials page yet when I Google authorh review plugin the home page that Google shows me has no stars. If it’s not working for your own home page why would it work on mine?

    Thanks
    Gary

    Hi,

On another point I have just checked and I don’t seem to have the testimonials plugin. The website indicates this is a bonus plugin but I’m not sure if it was when I bought this multi site licence a month ago. If I am entitled to this plugin how do I obtain it? If for whatever reason I’m not how do you purchase it on its own?

    Regards
    Gary

Anyone have an answer to this? Really want this plugin and it does not appear when I log on to my multi site licence. If for some reason I’m not entitled to it how can it be purchased alone. There does not seem to be an option to purchase anything other than the suite of plugins and I have the other two. All this seems really odd. Can anyone help?

    Hi Gary,

The Customer Testimonials plugin is a bonus as stated on the home page of the site. Also, there is details on how to obtain your access to download the plugin, you can do it simply by clicking on the (Add/Renew Subscription) tab in your account, choose the plugin then use discount code “FREE” when check out.

The plugin’s job is to create a custom post types for testimonials, it also has a shortcode to generate a simple form for submitting testimonials that can be displayed on any page of choice, plus other shortcodes and widgets to display testimonials (more details on documentation page). Once you get a few testimonials published on the site, the plugin will use your client’s rating to add rich snippets on the front/home page of the site. It’s up to Google to show rating on search results.

P.S. It used to work on authorhreview.com for several month, I think I know why it’s not working but didn’t get a chance to fix this on the site. You can check another site of mine by searching for “Thesis Awesome” keyword.

The plugins works great for some sites, however it doesn’t seem to work on the rest for unknown reasons, I keep discovering ways to solve issue and try to make it work on those sites though, but due to Google changes and like any markup it’s not guarantee 100%, the only way to know it to give it a go.

I hope this answers your questions.

    Hi Hesham,

Thanks for the reply. I could not find any instructions on how to obtain the testimonials plugin so thanks for explaining. I also struggled to find any info on how to update plugins to latest version since all my other plugins update via the dashboard. I tried deactivating only and then installing the new version but this failed so I had to delete previous version and install again. Luckily my settings seem to have been maintained.

I’ll try the testimonials plugin now and hope that I get the results appearing in SERPS.

    Thanks
    Gary
