    Hi,

The star rating field for users does not appear in my comment form.

Here’s an example of one of my reviews:

    Please help.

    Actually, there are two problems:

    (1) If a registered user is logged-in, there is no Star Rating Field in the Comment Form.

    (2) If an unregistered Guest is logged in, the Star Rating Field is there but even if I click on a rating, it does not show up in the Average User Rating. It says “No reviews yet!”
I clicked ‘Update User Reviews’ in settings but it still does not work.

I have a similar problem although in my case the stars do not even show for logged out guests. In fact, the comment box simply shows as the default wordpress comment box. I make extensive use of Custom Post Types on the site and also Child Themes. Could this be the case (Note: comments.php is Not in any Child Theme).

    1) There is a jQuery conflict between the plugin and your theme. Try to disable loading jQuery in the plugin technical settings, and see if this will solve the issue.

    2) “If an unregistered Guest is logged in” I don’t quite understand this, guests and un-registers users can’t login anywhere to your site (let’s call them visitors), clicking on the rating star won’t change anything unless the visitor submit the review comments.

When the review comment is being in moderation, approve it, then go to the plugin settings page and click on the “Update User Reviews” to update the database.

Would you please provide a link to your site?

Most of these issues are cause by jQuery conflicts, for example your theme (or maybe another plugin you are having) is loading jQuery library that conflicts with the one that is required by the WP Reviews plugin.

P.S. Please open a new thread for your question, so it will be more easy to track.

    Hi, Hesham.
    Thanks for your reply.

    1) I disabled the JQuery as you said. It didn’t fix the problem. Any other suggestions?

    2) Sorry, I meant unregistered visitor/user. When an unregistered visitor clicks on a star-rating, writes a comment and then clicks ‘Submit’ for the comment, it doesn’t show in the Average User Rating. I already tried what you said. I approved it in the plugin settings page and then clicked on ‘Update User Reviews.’ It still does not show.
