It seems that comments to review posts prevent stars showing up in Google.

http://digitalt.tv/logitech-harmony-touch/ has stars on Google (no comments) and http://digitalt.tv/panasonic-dmr-bct820eg/ does not (comments). The latter has the Marked-up content does not appear to be the main focus of the page on some posts notice in the Google Snippets Tool. I noticed hcard info showing up for commenters in the Google Snippets Tool.

Any idea how I fix this?

I don’t think comments will cause a problem, also markups do not have that deep relationship between them, so the missing markups do not affect the complete ones.

So, to explain more, the main focus of your page is “review”, that’s why you can see the rating stars in the test tool, but you see the warning because of missing markups for the “person” which is in the comment parts.

By the way, the product you are reviewing has never been indexed for these keywords before, because the search results returns only your post, which is interesting thing, so I am wondering if this could cause Google not to show rating for it, just a thought!

P.S. That’s only my personal opinion, and I can’t think of something else at the moment.

Do you have a link to another review that has comments with same issue? If would be great if we can compare more examples.

Thanks for your reply. Maybe it is the keyword thing.

Here are some other examples with comments and no stars in Google
http://digitalt.tv/onkyo-tx-nr616/ (fairly common product world wide and CNET has got a star review on Google)

I see. I would recommend removing the vcard and fn from comments in your theme, this should solve the issue.

Ok thanks. But I do belive the vcard and fn is inside wp-includes/comment-template.php. I do have a recent review post without comments which also does has stars so I think I will just live with it.
