    Hello,
have the same problem as Niels. I think that it is a big problem when Google removes my ratings, because this is the purpose of this plugin. In this respect, I would have expected for a paid plugin that all buyers are informed immediately. Even the blog, which is linked in the plugin, displays no information.

When something like this happens, then all the bloggers have to update very quickly the plugin. Therefore all need to be informed immediately and also an automatic upgrade of plugins would be helpful.

Is there a way to get information if there is an update? Can you set it, that you automatically update the plugin through the WordPress admin area?

Thank you for a great plugin. Unfortunately, I am currently somewhat disappointed because my ratings were removed from Google and I just randomly noticed this.

    Many greetings,
    Stephan

    Hi Stephan,

I understand your concerns, and I wish Google shared information or news when such changes happen, but they haven’t shared anything about it, so this happen to me as well, my blogs lost the rating, so I just knew about it randomly as well.

However, this not really a big issue , rankings are still the same, and the rating stars went back on most of my reviews in less than 24 hours, I am waiting for the rest to update now.

This also delay the plugin update one day, I needed to see if my changes are actually working before dropping the new update, otherwise I will have to go through the code again and make another update.

I will send an email update now to all members to let them know.

P.S. Automatic update, I have this in mind for the next update.

Well this answers my question as I noticed my stars were gone too. I will be waiting for the email with instructions.

    Hi Alex,

I sent the email already to all members, maybe it went to your spam folder?!

Anyways, please download the new update within your account, deactivate and delete the old plugin, then install the new one and activate it, and you will be good to go.

Thanks, lets see if it works. How long doest it take to get the ratings again in Google?

By the way, I get a waring when I test my review:

    Missing required field “entry-title”.

The Missing required field “entry-title” is not part of the plugin , it’s missing in your theme.

Thanks, and How long doest it take to get back the ratings in Google?

It depends on when Google boots visit your site and re-index your posts. My site has been updated in less than 24 hours, not all posts though, some posts took up to 2 days.

    Hi Hesham
Do you know if this Google change also affect the customer testimonials plugin?
    Thanks

I don’t think so, my site is still having the stars and review data in search results.

    Hi Hesham,

Back in action but I received no email. Can you make sure im on the list.

Also I don’t know f this has anything to do with your plugin but it says
Warning: At least one field must be set for Hcard.
Warning: Missing required field “name (fn)”.

Do you no how I can fix this warning?

    Thanks
    Alex

mmmm… The email system is not good then, I will maybe move all members emails to my autoresponder or something, I will figure that out latter.

By the way, you can check your account, there is a check box says “Unsubscribe from all e-mail messages” – don’t check that 🙂

These errors are Theme relevant, they can be fixed within your theme, so basically they are missing, I won’t worry that much about it though.
