I’ve read previous threads about this issue and you pointed out that there is most likely a jQuery conflict, mainly 1.8.3. I have found this version of jQuery which is in the wp-includes folder.

Can I turn this off to make the sliders work? Is there another way I can get it to work?

    Hey Lee,

Yes, you must turn it off some how, I’ve tried to use wp_deregister_script but it didn’t work well. So, we will need to do this manually for now till I figure out a way to do it safely via the plugin itself.

Mainly, you will be looking at where you Theme load the script and comment that line, then check if this affect any other functionality of your Theme (just in case).

FYI. This could be within the Theme, or probably in another plugin, I am not so sure though.

If you would like me to take a look, create a temp admin account for me, and send details by email.

P.S. I love your site, that’s exactly how to expect people to use my plugin. Good job.

Hmm, I’m using Thesis 2.0 which I know you use often so it must be a plugin.

I’ll have a play around and let you know if I find it for you for reference

p.s still working on the website at the moment, still not how I want it to look 😉

Yeah, I just remember now that I actually ticked the “Disable loading jQuery?” option in the plugin settings on that site (the one with Thesis 2)

    Try it.

P.S. Yeah, a few tweak here and there and you will make it 🙂

Tried it, didn’t work though. I think it might be to skin I’m using MD3. I’ve disabled almost all plugins and cleared cahce etc and tested it.. no results so far.

I’ll have a work on their forum to see if there’s anything I can do to remove the wp-includes/jquery reference.

    Thanks Hesham.

Cool, let me know how it goes, I doubt that the Skin has anything to do with this. probably it’s Thesis itself. I will also check from my side.

Ok, just added your plugin to another website using same skin, Thesis 2.0 and it worked. I’ve tested all the plugins and they don’t seem to be the problem. I’ve even tested the boxes on my Thesis theme. Both websites are using Thesis v 2.0.3

    So confusing..

Yes it is, no wonder I can’t fix this conflicting matter yet!
